Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) is a quilting technique that uses printed paper as a precise guide for stitching fabric pieces together. Each fabric piece is sewn directly onto the numbered sections of the paper, allowing you to achieve:

FPP is especially loved for blocks like stars or intricate vintage patterns, where accuracy truly matters. Once the block is sewn, the paper foundation is simply torn away.
