Join Naomi for a fun and festive quilting class featuring the “Christmas Eve” quilt pattern by Vanessa Goertzen of Lella Boutique. This beautiful winter-themed quilt finishes at 80½” x 80½” and is made entirely from just two block types. The Reindeer Block and the Tree Block. Once you learn these two blocks, the rest of the quilt comes together with ease!

Naomi will walk you through each step of the process, offering tips for layout, piecing, and precision, whether you're working with a modern monochrome palette or going scrappy with colorful prints. This is a perfect intermediate-level project for confident quilters who want to create something truly special for the holiday season.

Supplies Needed:

Fabric (for the standard colour version shown in the pattern):

• 6 Fat Quarters of assorted grey prints (each approx. 45 cm x 55 cm)

• 0.75 m light grey accent fabric

• 2.75 m dark grey fabric

• 1.75 m white background fabric

• 1.0 m 9900 194 “Sienna” brown fabric (for reindeer)

• 0.25 m 9900 284 “Charcoal” fabric (for accents/tree trunks)

• 0.5 m white fabric (for antlers)

• 0.75 m binding fabric

• 5.75 m backing fabric

• Batting: 225 cm x 225 cm

Optional Scrappy Tree Version:

• Use 1 Layer Cake® (24 squares, each 25.4 cm x 25.4 cm) instead of the 6 fat quarters

• Still include 0.75 m light grey accent fabric

Tools & Notions:

• Sewing machine (in good working order)
• Rotary cutter, mat, acrylic rulers
• Neutral thread
• Fabric marking tools
• Pins or wonder clips
• Iron and pressing surface
• Seam ripper (just in case!)
• Reindeer Xing pattern (not included in class fee)
• Zip Lock bags and small labels or papers (to assist with organizing your pieces)
