Description

This is a quick and simple placemat and/or runner to create using a 12 inch block. You can use the Broken Dishes, Ohio Star, Friendship Star or any 12 “ block you may love. The back and binding will be one piece of fabric.

This class will be offered for a full day Wed. May 14th from 11 – 4pm or Sat. May 17th from 11 – 4.

Class Supplies:
  • 0.5m. each of 4 co-ordinating fabrics for the top of 4 placemats or 2 runners. One of these fabrics will be used as the border.
  • 0.5m. will give you enough backing/binding fabric for 2 placemats or 1 runner. 1 m. will be enough for 4 placemats only.
  • Batting to be determined when ready to quilt. You may want to use the one sided fusible batting.

  • Sewing machine Machine with ¼ “ foot and new 80/12 or 90/14 needle
  • Sewing notions: pins, marking pencil/chalk, stitch ripper, thread, extra needles
  • 3” x 18” ruler, Quilt-in-day ruler (for triangles)
  • Lunch since we are sewing through lunch, please bring your lunch.  Subway and Pizza Hut is nearby if you prefer to purchase lunch.
