Makers Tote Workshop Fall 2026

Create a roomy tote bag designed for makers, quilters, and creatives on the go! The Maker’s Tote is a modern take on the classic doctor’s bag, designed to keep your projects, supplies, and everyday essentials organized. Perfect for taking to classes, retreats, or the cottage, this versatile tote features multiple pockets and a wide-open design that makes it easy to access everything inside. You’ll expand your bag-making skills while creating a beautiful and functional tote you’ll love to use.

Required Pattern: Maker’s Tote by Anna Graham of Noodlehead
Class registration fees do not include the cost of the pattern or supplies.

Finished Sizes:

• Large: 16" wide × 7½" deep × 13" high
• Small: 12" wide × 6" deep × 10" high

Students must bring their own copy of the pattern to class.

Fabric & Supply Requirements

• Fabric requirements as listed in the pattern
• Large-scale prints are not recommended
• #5 coil separating zipper:
  • Large tote: 18"
  • Small tote: 14"
• Non-separating zipper for exterior zipper pocket:
  • Large tote: 10"
  • Small tote: 7"
• Double-sided basting tape (ByAnnie’s recommended)

Homework:
All pattern pieces must be cut out with fusible interfacing applied before the first class. Taking the time to accurately cut and prepare your pieces is essential to completing the project during class.

Additional Supplies:

• Sewing machine in good working order
• Sewing machine manual
• Foot control and electrical cord
• ¼" foot
• Zipper foot
• Optional edge-stitching foot
• Machine needles (80/12 for 40 wt thread or 90/14 for 50 wt thread)
• Neutral or contrasting thread
• Fabric scissors
• Snip scissors
• Pins or clips
• Seam ripper
• Marking tools (chalk or pencil)
• Cutting ruler
• Stiletto (or seam ripper)
• Paper and pen for notes
