Make your own stylish and functional duffle bag in this three-part class. Choose between a bold patchwork design using multiple fabrics or a sleek single-fabric version for a clean, modern look. Our store sample has a sporty vibe, but you can completely customize yours to suit your style.
To make the most of class time, all fabrics must be cut before the first session so you’re ready to start sewing right away.
Cutting Requirements
Patchwork Version
112 – 3” squares
28 – 3” x 3 ½” rectangles
One Fabric Version
Bag body – 18” x 35 ½”
Pockets – 2 at 8” x 9”
End panels – 2 at 10 ½” x 9”
Project Supply Requirements
Patchwork Version:
- 1 m lining
- 12 fat eighths or scraps
One Fabric Version:
- 1 m lining
- 1 m exterior fabric
For Both Versions:
- 1 m Soft & Stable or batting
- 24” double-sided handbag zipper
- 5 m of 1 ½” handbag strapping (webbing)
- 1 fat quarter for bias binding
Hardware
1 – 1 ½” strap adjuster
2 – 1 ½” swivel hooks
2 – 1 ½” triangle rings
