Free Motion Quilting on a Domestic Machine
Expand your skill level and learn how to finish your quilts by learning how to Free Motion Quilt on your domestic machine. Students will learn the basics of how to set up for and quilt their projects
Location: Newmarket, ON
Date & Time: Friday, March 20 | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Skill Level: Beginner
Preparation Required:
- Bring a 24" quilt sandwich (top, batting, backing)
- Use a light solid fabric or muslin
- Mark and stitch a grid to create nine 8" squares for practice
Bring to Class:
- Sewing machine (must allow feed dogs to be lowered or covered)
- Quilting Gloves (optional)
- Free motion quilting or darning foot
- Light-coloured quilting thread
- Basic sewing supplies
