Embellish a 100% wool felt ball with fibre, stitch, and the possibility of further embellishment with buttons, and beads.
Participate in a relaxing process, that will introduce you to the pleasures of slow, meditative stitching on a 3-D object (in this case a 100% wool ball). You will end up with a decorative, display object, made out of scraps, that is suitable for either gift giving, or the start of a personal collection. Add a hanging ribbon, or do as I do, and just pile multiple orbs in a bowl, for an eye-catching display. This workshop comes with a warning though, because the process is quite addicting!
Don’t worry if you have little experience with hand embroidery, because I will demonstrate the simple stitches that I use.
- Beading, and embellishing will be discussed, but there will be no time to actually work on them during the class.
- It will be a fun class, full of colour, simple raw-edge stitching, problem solving, and ideas!
