Bernina Snap-on Shank #78
The Bernina Snap-on Shank #78 is the base attachment required for using all Bernina snap-on soles. It mounts to the needle bar, and individual soles snap into place with a built-in clamping mechanism. Changing soles takes just a few seconds: press the release, remove the current sole, and snap the new one on.
One Shank, Many Soles
Rather than mounting each presser foot individually, the snap-on system lets you keep the shank in place and swap only the sole. This is especially convenient if you switch between feet often during a project. Compatible with 5.5 mm and 9 mm Bernina machines.
