Your New Favorite Quilt Shop is Now Opening!
The Quilt Store first opened its doors in 1981 in Newmarket, growing into a destination for quilters and sewists alike. Our flagship location features over 5,000 square feet of retail space and more than 4,000 bolts of quilting fabric, along with an extensive selection of threads and notions. We are proud retailers of Baby Lock, Janome, Bernina, and Handi Quilter, supporting sewists at every level, from beginner to expert.
In 2017, we brought that same creative energy and customer-focused experience to Burlington with the opening of The Quilt Store West, expanding our services to the Halton region and beyond.
Now, in 2026, The Quilt Store family is growing once again. We are thrilled to announce the opening of our newest location in Gravenhurst, bringing our passion for quilting and sewing to the heart of Muskoka.
We’re excited to connect with the local sewing community and continue inspiring makers with beautiful fabrics, quality machines, engaging classes, and the friendly, knowledgeable service you’ve come to expect.
This new location will also feature a unique boutique element, offering Ontario creamed honey, beeswax and soy candles, as well as a curated selection of locally crafted gift items.
Renovations are complete and we are NOW OPEN. Our grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, June 27th. The mayor will be there for our official ribbon cutting and we’ll be joined by Janome brand ambassador, Michael Smith. We can’t wait to welcome you to The Quilt Store Muskoka!
